Just start with a book and a tape

- a book in easy Danish, recorded slowly and clearly on a cassette tape. You receive the printed book and the tape together, so you can read and listen at the same time.

Easy books

The libraries have many Danish books written in easy Danish for children, teenagers or adults and designed for language training.

Audio books

– are perhaps too difficult in your first few years of learning Danish. But when you master a colloquial language, they can be very helpful in developing your skills. While you listen to audio books by Danish writers, you will also learn more about Danish culture and society.

Audio books are novels or non-fiction literature recorded on cassette tapes or CDs. They are read to you at normal speed, similar to radio broadcasts.

Audio books are designed for listening and do not include the printed version, but we can try to get it for you, if you wish to read and listen at the same time.

Videos and DVDs

Altogether, the libraries offer a large selection of videos for children, teenagers and adults – movies, music films, documentaries. Some of them are in Danish, others are foreign-language originals with Danish subtitles. For example, we also provide Danish-language videos presenting drills for driving tests, sewing instructions, etc.

The libraries have a small, but constantly growing selection of DVD films for all age groups in the same topics as the videos.
