Library rules -Children and teenagers under the age of 16Get a library card – borrowing is freeYou can get a free library card by showing valid identification:Your health insurance card, birth certificate or name certificate, or your passport. Together with the card, you must use a 4-number PIN. The library card is for your use onlyYou are responsible for whatever is borrowed on the card. Always remember to carry the library card when you visit the library. You can use the card in all the libraries of the municipality.If the library card disappears- you must carry a valid identification document the next time you visit the library.You get a new library card free of charge. REMEMBER to inform us, if you change your address! When you reach the age of 16– you become an adult user and then you always have to use your health insurance card for your library card.Ordering books and other materialsIf what you want to borrow has been borrowed by others you can reserve it. Then we will send you a postcard or an e-mail, when it is your turn. Both are free of charge for child users.Take good care of what you borrowIf you happen to loose or damage it you must pay for the substitution or the damage.The responsibility is yours- when using things like CD’s, PC games, video’s and other electronic materials. The library is not liable for any damage to your electronic equipment.IMPORTANT - when you borrow and return materialsYou are responsible for checking the materials, to see to it that all parts are there, and that nothing is damaged.Look at your lending receiptThis states the date when the borrowed material must be returned.The normal lending period is 31 days, but there are some things that you can only borrow for a short period. Look at your return receiptThe number at the bottom of the receipt must be the same as the number of materials that you have returned.Remember to return materials on time- otherwise you risk having to pay a fee!Tell us your e-mail address– then we can send you a reminder 3 days before the lending period expires.You cannot borrow anymore- if you owe a fee of 200 DKK or more to the library.We inform you by ordinary mail or e-mail8 days before you loose the right to borrow.When the full amount has been paid in one payment you may start borrowing again. Do not postpone payment of the feeThe library is entitled to make collection on its fee, if your debt is 200 DKK or more.If, after having received a bill, you still don’t return or pay for borrowed material as well as any fees the Collection Office of the Municipality of Elsinore will see to the collection. |
